Marzipan biscuits are the sweetest and most fun way to portray this wonderful time of year. Making them is quite simple, just follow a few small steps to impress your friends and family. Let’s see which ones together and get ready for the most fabulous Christmas ever.
INGREDIENTS FOR TWO PEOPLE:
- 200 g flour
- 60 g butter
- 60 g sugar
- 1 egg almond flavouring
- 250 g marzipan
In a bowl, mix the flour and the butter into pieces until you have a toned mixture, then add the egg and sugar together with the almond flavouring.
Knead until the mixture is elastic and firm, then wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it to rest in the fridge for half an hour.
Now take the mixture and roll it out on a flat surface with a little flour to prevent it from sticking and uniting, using a rolling pin until it is about half a cm thick.
Take the marzipan and roll it out in the same way, it will be the “dress” to put on top.
Now it’s time to combine the two compounds! Transfer the shortcrust pastry onto a baking tray with baking paper. Brush the surface of the dough with a little water and place the marzipan on top. Now cut out the shape you prefer or use some fun Christmas shapes to help you. Remember to space them out, as baking time is approaching!
Bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 180° (must be already hot) for about 15 minutes.
Leave to cool before serving your beautiful, festive marzipan biscuits.
