Just 40 minutes from the Grand Hotel del Mare Resort and Spa is the village of Badalucco, characterised by an abundance of frescoed walls that have turned every alleyway into an open-air art gallery since 1993. Let yourself be enchanted by the works hidden around every corner as you look up to the sky!
In the charming Town Hall, in the heart of the village, is a museum-workshop established in 2003, which hosts temporary exhibitions, cultural events and offers drawing, photography and ceramics courses for aspiring artists.
Another place to discover is the Panizzi oil mill-museum, a fascinating testimony to Badalucca’s ancient oil-making tradition, still in operation and run with passion by descendants of a long tradition of oil producers.
And if you are a lover of adventure and long walks, don’t miss two unmissable routes: an evocative mule track leading to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve on Mount Carmo, offering breathtaking views; and an itinerary leading to the Tana di Bertrand, a cave rich in history and mystery on Mount Faudo, where ancient artefacts were found that are now on display at the Sanremo Museum.
